Wanda Irene (Scott) Good

Wanda Irene Good, age 88, of Wellsville, KS passed away, Monday, August 7, 2023 at Rock Creek of Ottawa. Funeral services will be 11AM, Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in the Wellsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the WHS Athletic Fund in care of Wilson’s, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.

Wanda Irene Good was born December 6, 1934 on the family farm in Wellsville, the daughter of Wayne D. and Mildred (Miller) Scott. She grew up in Wellsville and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1953. After high school she attended business school in Topeka and later worked at the Baldwin bank. On June 20, 1954 she married Eldon Wayne Good in Wellsville. They celebrated 68 years of marriage before his passing in 2022. Wanda worked at King Radio in Ottawa for 25 years. She was a member of the Wellsville United Methodist Church and was a regular attendee for most Wellsville Eagles’s sporting activities, especially those of her children. She loved taking pictures, camping and travelling. She was very crafty and loved tending to her garden, flowers and especially her pansies.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Denise Good of Topeka; son, Scott Good (Wanita) of Waverly, grandchildren: Machelle Zimmerman (Matt) of Wellsville; Whitney Good (Ryan Spence) of Haysville, KS and Kyle Good of Austin, TX; great-grandchildren: Trinity Henning, Maverick Zimmerman and MaKinlee Zimmerman. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
