Tara Nichole (Palmer) Miller

Tara Nichole Miller, 41, of Wellsville, Kansas, passed away at KU Medical Center on June 16, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Milestone Events, 506 Main Street, Wellsville, Kansas. Tara was born in 1985 to Richard Palmer and Deanna Crist. From an early age, she was known for her kind heart, caring nature, and love for family and friends. She attended school in Wellsville, where she participated in Band, Dance, and FBLA. During high school, Tara began working in the daycare industry, a role she continued while pursuing her nursing degree. After earning her degree, she became a Registered Nurse at Olathe Medical Center. Caring for others came naturally to Tara, and both professions were a perfect reflection of the compassionate and loving person she was.

On June 27, 2009, Tara married the love of her life, David Miller. Together, they shared 17 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion to one another. Through this marriage, she gained a stepson, Dylan, whom she loved and cherished as her own. Tara was preceded in death by her uncle, Dale Palmer; her grandparents, John Palmer, Betty Palmer, Marilyn Palmer, Charles Crist, and Juanita Crist.

She is survived by her husband, David Miller; her stepson, Dylan Miller; her father, Richard Palmer; her mother, Deanna Crist; her sister, Megan Miller; her brother, Danny Palmer (Anna); and her beloved dogs, Cubs and Willow. Tara dearly loved her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, caring heart, and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.
