Starla Rhea (Michael) Brink

Starla Rhea Brink, age 68 of Lawrence, Kansas passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. A memorial visitation will be held 1-3PM, Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville.

Starla Rhea Brink was born October 5, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Garry Neil and Anna Nadine (Etherton) Michael. She grew up in Wellsville and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1975. Starla attended Hays Hairdressing School and worked as a stylist for many years. On September 21, 1985, she married Scott Brink in Olathe, Kansas. They later separated. Starla met John Marsh and they spent almost 10 years together before his unexpected passing on April 10, 2024.

Starla was employed at various places doing accounts payable and receivable throughout her working years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by those that knew and loved her.

Starla is survived by her daughters, Tiffany Fishburn (Jay) of Lawrence, KS; daughter, Courtney Brink of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Steve Michael (Dawn Berry) of Wellsville; Brian Michael of Olathe; grandchildren, Anna and Emma Fishburn, both of Lawrence; niece, Tracy Strickland (Adam); 3 nephews, Kurtis Michael (Erin), Ryan Michael, and Arran Michael (Jordon); and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her significant other, John.
