Obituary

Saundra Lee Jerred, age 75 of Wellsville, Kansas passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Wellsville Health and Rehab. It was Saundra’s wishes to be cremated with no public services. If you feel compelled to make a memorial contribution in her memory, her family suggests any organization of your choice or an animal rescue organization.

Saundra Lee Jerred was born October 3, 1946 in Paola, Kansas the daughter of Frank Raymond and Wilma Lois (Barber) Kirkland. Saundra was creative and artistic. She loved the skill, meaning and beauty of tattooing and the many pieces she, herself, wore. She spent the majority of her life in the antique business, buying and selling and collecting those pieces she felt a significant connection to.

Saundra is survived by her daughter, Tammie Murray Haagensen of Lawrence, KS; daughter, Kelley Jerred of Wellsville, KS; daughter, Melissa Jerred-Morales and her husband Oscar of Wellsville, KS; sister, Barbara Owings of Wellsville; sister, Linda Hutchinson of Wellsville, KS; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donnie Kirkland.
