Sandra Elaine Turner, age 52 of Wellsville, Kansas passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation will be held 12-2PM, Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. Family and friends may also pay their respects Monday, August 16 from 9AM-5PM, at their own convenience. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandra Turner Memorial Fund in care of Wilson’s, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.

Sandra Elaine Turner was born June 8, 1969 in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of Wesley Gene and Florence (Charmasson) Brawner. She grew up in Woodward, Oklahoma and graduated in 1986. Sandra worked in many different areas and fields: she was a home health care giver for over a decade, was a Walmart associate for many years in Woodward and was most recently employed by Beckham County Juvenile Detention Center as a patient care director. On October 29, 1999, she married Richard Turner in Woodward, Oklahoma. They were together almost 23 years before her passing. He survives at the home in Wellsville. They had been in Wellsville since 2016. Sandra attended First Baptist Church of Woodward, Oklahoma as a child, she loved drawing, painting and loved her books. She was an avid Dean Koontz fan and loved movies as well. Sandra loved being outside, camping and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were a true love of her life and her presence in her family’s life will be dearly missed.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Richard of the home; daughter, Cassandra Brawner of Talago, OK; daughter, Kallie Klamm of Wellsville; brother, Richard Parkins of Colorado; sister, Cindy Elledge of Colorado; sister, Joann Spence of Oklahoma; sister, Florence Brawner of Ohio; brother, Paul Brawner of Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren and 15 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Wesley G. Brawner, Jr. and Leslie Brawner; daughter, Katie Peeples and granddaughter, Aries Lowery; and granddaughter Kendall Weas.
