Ronnie Eugene Smith

Ronnie Eugene Smith, age 83, of Eudora, Kansas passed away, February 13, 2022 at Legend Healthcare in Tonganoxie, Kansas. Cremation.

Ronnie Eugene Smith was born June 19, 1938, in Leslie, Arkansas, the son of Manual and Cecil Maurine (Vincent) Smith. He moved with his family to Eudora in 1951 and graduated from Eudora High School in 1957. Ronnie went into the heavy equipment operating business with his father and brother-in-law after graduation and they worked for Reno Construction until 1973. In February of 1980, Ronnie met who would be his lifelong love and wife and on October 13, 1999, he married Trish Blake in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They shared 42 years together before his passing.

Ronnie loved to use his metal detector, he loved coin collecting and enjoyed fishing.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of the home; daughter, Mary Ella Shields of Sand Springs, OK; son, Ron Chriswell of Sandy, Utah; a sister, Diana Lutz of Eudora; 8 grandchildren and one niece and one nephew. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Dale Lutz.
