Robert "Carl" Gray

Robert Carl Gray, age 52 of Gardner, Kansas passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Funeral services will be 1PM, Monday, April 20, 2026 at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville, Kansas with visitation prior from 11-1PM. Interment will follow services in the Wellsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carl Gray Memorial Fund in care of Wilson’s, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.

Robert Carl Gray was born September 2, 1973 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of Marvin Lee and Donna Lee (Edwards) Gray. He was a car salesman his entire life and had worked the last 17 years at McCarthy Chevrolet in Olathe.

Carl married Jamie Higbie on October 9, 2010 in Overland Park, Kansas and they share one son together, Jaycob Gray. For the last 4 years, he had lived with his girlfriend, Tiffanie Rose. Tiffanie survives at the home in Gardner.

Carl loved NASCAR and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. He loved sports and coaching his son, Jaycob in baseball.

Carl is survived by his son, Jaycob Gray of Wellsville, KS; girlfriend, Tiffanie Rose of Gardner, KS; brother, Randy Gray and his wife, Ellen of Union Star, MO; brother, Ron Gray, Seattle, WA; sister, Elaine Freeman and her husband Gary of Maryville, MO; nephews and nieces: Zachary Keith of Maryville, MO; Erin and Jessie Hall of St. Joseph, MO; Brayden and Eric Gray-Morriss of Stanberry, MO; Breana and Leyton Furlong of St. Joseph, MO; and Raven and Brooklyn Laudermill of Wellsville, KS.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and brother, Marvin Gray, Jr.
