Prudence Ann (Parker) Schroeder

Prudence Ann Schroeder, age 66, formerly of Olathe, Kansas passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in Wellsville. Celebration of Life services will be 11AM-3PM, Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Shawnee Mission Park Shelter 12. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Alcoholics Anonymous.

Prudence Ann Schroeder was born September 20, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Melvin Henry and Mary Jane (Landers) Parker. She graduated from Bishop Miege High School in 1974 and finished her education with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Kansas State University. Prudence was a Paraeducator in the Olathe School District for many years. When her daughters were young, she was always busy helping them with soccer practice or dance classes. Prudence hosted many holidays at her home in Olathe over the years, making cherished memories over Easter and Thanksgiving. Prudence loved crafting, was an animal lover and especially loved all of her pets throughout the years. She adored her golden retrievers, Tucker and Reggie.  Prudence is survived by her daughters, Alexandra and Samantha, and her sister Patricia Matz. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Penelope Hallisey She was a wife of 25 years, a loving mother and was great at making people laugh. She will be missed dearly.
