PATRICIA ANN (Fitzgerald) GILLILAND

Patricia Ann (Fitzgerald) Gilliland, age 72 of Ottawa, Kansas passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at her home. A memorial visitation will be held 5-8PM, Friday, June 23, 2023 at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. Memorial contributions may made in her name to Wilson’s Funeral Home, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.

Patricia Ann Gilliland was born February 24, 1951 in Ottawa, Kansas, the fifth of seven children born to Marion Carl and Inez Mae (Jones) Fitzgerald. She grew up in Ottawa and had lived there all of her life. Pat was an animal lover and an avid casino and lottery player. She was a kind and beautiful soul and always did whatever she could to help others. Pat always put her family first and knew how to put their minds at ease. She was the matriarch of her family that she so dearly loved. She will be dearly missed by so many that loved her.

Pat is survived by her son, Shannon Aguirre (Tina) of Paola; grandson Jacob Aguirre and Melissa Cruz of Ottawa; grandson, Seth Aguirre of Parker, KS; sister, Cheryl Onega of Lore City, OH; sister, Diane Swett of   Columbia, MO; brother, Gary Fitzgerald (Roxanne) of San Lorenzo, CA; brother, Michael Fitzgerald of Ottawa; her life-long girlfriends: Bonnie Gilroy of Ottawa, Sophie Browning of MS and Beverly O’Connor of Wichita; many nieces, nephews and other friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, LeRoy Fitzgerald and sister, Judith Campbell.
