Margaret "Joanne" Fiehler

Margaret Joanne Fiehler, age 91 of Wellsville, Kansas passed away Friday, August 29, 2025. Funeral services will be 2PM, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville with visitation at 1:30, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow services, in the Wellsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wellsville Friends of the Library or the Wellsville Historical Society in care of Wilson’s, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.

Margaret Joanne Fiehler was born April, 18, 1934, in Greenleaf, Kansas the daughter of Clifford and Juanita Gaswint. At the age of 1 ½ years, she, her parents, and her brother, Warren moved to Baldwin City, Kansas.

She attended grade school, high school, and Baker University, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

In 1954, she married Gary Tucker. They became the parents of son, Dirk Orin Tucker, and Jill Genita (Tucker) Antoine.

In 1975, she married Donald Duane Fiehler, and worked beside him in his self-employed business in the Kansas City area, Memphis, Tennessee, Plano and McKinney, Texas and Wellsville, Kansas, where they made their home.

Joanne was a member of the Friends of the Library and served on the library board. She was also and member of the Wellsville Red Hat Mamas.

Joanne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Chris Antoine; step-daughter and her husband, Carol Ann and Bob Ward; grandsons: Jeremiah Wardle, Justin Wardle, Derek Tucker, Gary Tucker, Dustin Ward; granddaughter, Missy Ward Robinson; and 12 great-grandchildren with1 more on the way.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother, Warren, her son, Dirk, and her sisters, Delores Hall and Donna Kasper.
