Lane Michael Simpson

Lane Michael Simpson, age 30 passed away Monday, March 16, 2026. Lane was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Lane Michael Simpson was born January 17, 1996 in Topeka, Kansas the son of Michael Robert and Julie Ann (Richard) Simpson. He grew up in and around Mayetta, McLouth and Hoyt, Kansas.

Lane loved to work on cars and tinker with motorcycles and 4 wheelers. He was a skilled mechanic and spent the majority of his working life restoring engines. He loved to fish and loved guns.

Lane had a love for life, and even through the hardest times, he was a helpful and loving son, brother and friend. He had an amazing sense of humor and loved to eat Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. He had a healthy appetite and was known for clearing out refrigerators wherever he went.

The loss of his life is one his family cannot imagine and he will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Lane is survived by his mother, Julie Richard; sister and brother-in-law, Kylee and Dalton Mitchell; his girlfriend, Kristen Tomrell, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
