Well.....Karolyn is off to see what's over the next hill. Karolyn Kay Kinsey, age 84 of Eureka, Kansas passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Catholic Care Center in Bel Aire, Kansas. Visitation, 6-8PM, Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. Interment will be 12PM, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Highland Cemetery in Eureka, Kansas.

Karolyn Kay Kinsey was born February 11, 1941 in El Dorado, Kansas the daughter of Gottlob William Henry and Ruby Pearl (French) Weber. She graduated from El Dorado High School in 1959. Karolyn attended nursing school and graduated with her LPN. She worked at Wesley Hospital in Wichita for many years and also worked in Quinter as a nursing manager. After several years and moves to Wyoming and Nashville, Karolyn moved back to Kansas. She attended the University of Kansas and graduated with her Bachelor’s in Anthropology. She worked for the Corp of Engineers and travelled extensively to different digs and work sites.

Karolyn loved to read, loved the KU Jayhawks, and enjoyed politics. She also enjoyed traveling and working in her science garden.

Karolyn is survived by her children; son, Alan Bailey (Darcie) and their daughter Holly; son, Leslie Bailey (Michelle) and their children Nathan and Brandon; daughter, DeeAndre Schwartz and her daughter, Eliesha; grandson, Caleb Bailey and granddaughter, Rebekah Bailey; sister, Joyce Lauterbach; many nieces and nephews including John Lauterbach and Ashleigh Kendall, who were her favorites. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Robert Bailey (2015), sister, Lynda Weber, sister, Sandy Weber, brothers, LaVerne, Gene and Phillip Whitehead.
