Joshua Michael Johnson was born July 8, 1993 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Joshua Everett Johnson and Andrea Dellene List. He grew up in Edgerton and was a heavy equipment operator for most of his working life. Josh was recently employed by Greg Bair Track Hoe Service.
On September 22, 2013, Josh married Ashley Elizabeth Smith. They were married almost 12 years before his passing. She survives with their two sons, Bryden and Kasen.
Josh was a “family-first” man. He always put his wife and boys before and above anything else. He was a beloved husband and proud father. His boys were his greatest joys in life. To his wife and sons, Josh was not just a husband and dad, he was their rock, protector and hero.
Josh was known for his hardworking spirit and his rowdy, fearless love of life. Whether he was at work or at home, he gave everything he had. When he wasn’t providing for his family, you could find him riding dirt bikes or 4-wheelers…usually with one wheel up and a big grin on his face.
Those who knew him will remember his energy, his loyalty, and the way his presence filled every room. His life was far too short, but his love and the memories he created will last forever.
Josh is survived by his wife and sons, Ashley Elizabeth, Bryden Lee and Kasen Michael of the home; his father and step-mother, Joshua Everett and Amber Johnson; his mother, Andrea; his father and mother-in-law, Rodney Lee and Tina Elizabeth Smith; grandparents, Ronald and Mary Franks; grandparents, Robin and Mike Johnson; brothers, Jacob Ryan Johnson, Jordan Everett Johnson and Justin Danger Noah Johnson; nephew Macen Schneider; sister-in-law, Erin Lynn Smith; brother-in-law, Quentin Lee Smith; cousins, Bobby Bramble and Amber Sexton; and many other cousins, aunts and uncles.
