Joan Carol Cisneros

Joan Carol Cisneros, age 83 of Gardner, KS passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Wellsville Retirement Community. Graveside services will be 10AM, Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Antioch Cemetery in rural Spring Hill. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Community Church in care of Wilson’s, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.

Joan C. Cisneros was born April 19, 1941 in Gardner, Kansas the daughter of Randall J. and Lenora L. (McGonagle) Fruit. She grew up in Antioch and attended the one room Antioch school. She lived in Antioch and Gardner the majority of her life. She worked for Deluxe Checks in Lenexa for about 10 years and later retired from Lipton in Gardner in 2006.

Joan had a great love and fondness for horses in her younger years. She loved gardening and attended New Life Church in Gardner for many years.

Joan is Survived by her brother, Randy Fruit (Virginia) of Antioch; son, Jim Coleman (Karen) of Iola; son, Gordon Coleman of La Pine, Oregon; daughter, Kris Drake; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Tony Cisneros, brother, Ronald Fruit, and sister, Joyce Fruit.
