Genevieve Elberta Gregg

Genevieve Gregg, age 91 of Wellsville, Ks passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Sunrise Assisted Living Facility in Overland Park. Graveside services will be 10:30AM, December 1, 2016 at the Wellsville Cemetery. No visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wellsville Baptist Church in care of Wilsons, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.
Genevieve Gregg was born April 18, 1925 in rural Miami County
near Wellsville, Kansas the daughter of Sam and Gladys (Pool) Ellis.
She graduated from Wellsville High School and married Wayne O'Connor. She worked at the Sunflower Ammunition plant, was a homemaker and helped her husband farm for many years. He preceded her in death in 1977. She later married Merle Hutchinson and they lived in Baldwin many years before his passing.
On February 15, 1991 she married Harold Eugene Gregg at the Wellsville Baptist Church. He preceded her in 2012.
Genevieve was a former member of the WBC and loved to dance and enjoyed old country music.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Clark of Overland Park; a step-daughter, Tamara Shipley of Ottawa; step-son, Byron Gregg of Ottawa; a sister, Alice C. Hubbard of Butler, MO; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands and a sister, Mary Ellen Rucker.
