Gail Ann (Morse) Souders

Gail Ann Souders, age 61 of Wellsville, Kansas, passed away, Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Olathe Medical Center. Graveside services will be 11AM, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Wellsville Cemetery with visitation one hour prior at Wilson’s Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Family Church in care of Wilson’s, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.

Gail Ann Souders was born March 3, 1960 in Jackson County, Missouri, the daughter of Johnny and Dixie L. (Goens) Morse. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Winnetonka High School in 1978. On September 15, 1979, she married Richard Allen Souders in Birmingham, Missouri. They were married almost 42 years before her passing. Richard survives at the home. Gail worked as a beautician in the first years of her marriage, and later attended nursing school. She moved with her husband to Wellsville in 1989 where she raised and homeschooled her 3 children. She began working for the United States Postal Service in 2005 and was a mail carrier for 15 years.

Gail was a member of Family Church in Wellsville. She loved spending time with her family and her Bible. She loved her church, loved her grandchildren, was a selfless mother and grandmother and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Gail is survived by her husband of the home; her son and daughter-in-law, Branden and Kristy Souders of Wellsville; daughter and son-in-law, Breanna and Ryan Snyder of Wellsville; daughter, Laurie Souders of Lawrence; brother, William R. Morse of Gladstone, MO; sister in law, Debra Willeman of Nevada, MO; sister in law, Diana Reynolds of Sparta, MO; sister in law, Dedra Brown (Mike) of Ozark, MO; sister in law, Darla Hazzard (Johnny) of Stockton, MO; sister in law, Danetta Finney (David) of Chadwick, MO;  grandchildren: Dawson Donovan, Cooper Todd, Lily Souders, Kason Souders and Cade Snyder.
