Frances Marie Pate

Frances Marie Pate, age 87 of Wellsville, KS passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, Kansas. Family will hold a memorial graveside service 10AM, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Wellsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Frances Pate Memorial Fund in care of Wilson's, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.
Frances Marie Pate was born November 29, 1929 in KCK, the daughter of Ellsworth William and Katherine (Storz) Jeffries. She grew up in KCK and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1947. After high school, Frances married O. Murray Pate. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Frances worked for Fashion Belt Garment Company in Kansas City, Missouri for 28 years.
She is survived by her children; son, Dennis Pate of Wellsville; daughter, Jean McAlexander of Tonganoxie; daughter Sharon Caruthers of Wellsville; daughter, Jeffie Aguirre of Ottawa; brother, Kenny Jeffries of KCMO; brother, George Jeffries of Perry, KS; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Walter Pate (2010); sisters, Gerry Burke, Phyliss Ashby and Henrietta Horseman and brothers, Ellsworth William "Bud" Jeffries, Jr. and James Jeffries.
