Eric James Dunaway

Eric James Dunaway, age 20 of Ottawa, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held 6PM, Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the West Bottoms at the Rumley Tractor Historic Event Space, located at 1222 w. 12th Street Ste B, Kansas City, MO 64101. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson’s Funeral Home and sent to PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.

Eric James Dunaway was born April 23, 2001 in Hemet, California. He attended Wellsville schools for 10 years before moving to Ottawa and graduating from Ottawa High School in 2020. He worked at Full Moon Productions as a seasonal actor for the haunted houses and worked in maintenance on the day crew. Eric loved to keep sport’s statistics and working on the internet.

He is survived by his parents, Brian and Amanda Dunaway of the home; sister, Shyann Casteel of Ottawa; sister, Bobbie Jean (Casteel) Tharp (True) of Salisaw, OK; grandmother, Judy O’Leary of Wellsville; uncle, James O’Leary and aunt, Beth O’Leary, both of Edgerton; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the United States.

Eric is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert D. O’Leary and grandparents, Robert & Hallie Dunaway.
