Elizabeth Ann "Midge" Casselman

Elizabeth Ann “Midge” Casselman, age 79 of Wellsville, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024. Memorial services will be held 11AM, Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Wellsville City Library or the American Diabetes Association in care of Wilson’s, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.

Elizabeth Ann Casselman was born April 11, 1945 in Emporia, Kansas the daughter of Don Ellsworth and Josephine Elizabeth (Matsumoto) McGregor. She grew up in Hartford, Kansas and graduated from Hartford High School in 1963. Midge attended the University of Colorado where she earned an Associates Degree in Dietary Sciences. She would work as a dietitian most of her life, including at the Wellsville Manor, but also worked at Hallmark Cards and King Radio.

On March 28, 1967, she married Rodney Bruce Casselman. They were married almost 57 years before her passing. Midge was a member of many civic organizations. She was the first president of the local JC Jaynes in 1973 and was a member of the Wellsville United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women’s Group, the Red Hatters and Friends of the Library. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading.

Midge is survived by her husband of the home; daughter, Kim LeRoy (Jeff); son Kory Casselman (Lindsay); son, Kurtis Casselman; grandchildren: Ashton Toon (Nick), Emilee McKnight (Price), Lane LeRoy, Julia Eva LeRoy (Dylan Sebol), Makayla Casselman, Kaleigh Casselman and Mackenzie Casselman; great-grandchildren, Tripp and Lennon Toon; her beloved dog, Bear; sister, Frankie Blair; brothers, David and Don McGregor; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Delores (McGregor) Bouse and Donna (McGregor) Brown; 3 brother in laws, Dale Bouse, Jesse Brown and Jon Blair; niece, Linda Crockett; nephew, Michael D. Bouse; grand nephew, Robert Martin and her son, Kevin Casselman.
