Donna Jean (Bosworth) Romstedt

Donna Jean Romstedt, age 91 of Wellsville, KS passed away August 7, 2025 at Olathe Hospice House. Memorial services will be 11AM, Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Wellsville United Methodist Church with burial following in Walnut Creek Cemetery, also in Wellsville.

Donna Jean Romstedt was born in Wellsville, Kansas the daughter of James Sears and Valeria Louise (Brecheisen) Bosworth. She grew up in Wellsville and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1950. In 1952, she married Karl “Jack” Romstedt. He was in the United States Air Force and together they lived in Japan, the Philippines and several US states before making Wellsville their permanent home. Together they raised 3 sons and were married 47 years before his passing in 1999.

Donna had a great love for music and watching old movies. She was a member of the Crescent Club and the Wellsville United Methodist Church.

Donna is survived by her son, Karl J. Romstedt of Columbus, OH; son, William J. Romstedt of Wichita, KS; grandchildren: Laura Campbell of Granville, OH; Brodie Romstedt of Lawrence, KS; Alex Romstedt of Columbus, OH; Brie Pena of San Diego, CA; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Randy Romstedt of Baldwin City, KS; daughter-in-law, Connie Romstedt of Baldwin City, KS; grandson, Beau Romstedt of Lawrence, KS; sister, Carmen Raye of El Paso, TX; brother-in-law, James Raye of El Paso, TX; brother, Bruce Bosworth of Wellsville, KS and sister-in-law, Isabelle Bosworth of Williamson, GA.
