Debra Elizabeth Roiko, age 70 of Gardner, Kansas passed away Friday, February 27, 2026 at Colonial Oaks Nursing Facility in Spring Hill. Memorial services will be held March 14, 2026 in Dallas, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
Debra Elizabeth Roiko was born November 25, 1955, in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, the daughter of Arve William Roiko and Bettye Jean (Montgomery) Roiko. She grew up in Brooklyn Center where she went to vocational school to work on CD radios. She then went to Pillsbury Baptist Bible College where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Bible studies with a minor in Education. She taught at several small Christian schools and worked in a couple of preschools where the children and parents both loved her. Debra loved playing with children, reading, coloring, shopping and spending time with her family.
She was married to Louis Curtis, Jr. for over 20 years.
Debra is survived by her sons, Paul Curtis and Phillip Curtis of Fort Worth, TX; her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Benjamin Reese of Gardner, KS; grandchildren, Brooke, Grace and Andrew Reese of Gardner, KS; sister, Susan Kane and her husband John of Lewisville, TX; brother, John Roiko and his wife, Connie of Round Rock, TX and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Debbie loved God, her family, and the Vikings. She is now healed in Heaven enjoying time with loved ones who have gone before.
