Dean Price Kramer was born February 12, 1947 in Higginsville, Missouri, the son of Neldo Martin and Anna Margeret (Duggins) Kramer. He went to grade school at St. Peter's in KCMO, Hogan Catholic School in KCMO and graduated from South East Public High School in KCMO. In August of 1967, he married Harriett Loretta Baker. In 1976, Dean began working for Town Oil Company driving a truck hauling crude oil. He lived in Adrian, Missouri where he owned a laundromat and restaurant. In 1977, Town Oil sold their first purchasing nosiness to La Jet, Inc. and Dean continued to work for them until they closed. At that time, Dean had moved his family to Wellsville where he started a trucking business hauling salt water for oil lease operators. He incorporated the business as Kramer Oilfield Service in 1982. A few years later he started the Oilfield Supply Company in Wellsville, KS selling parts to oilfield operators in the Wellsville, KS area. In 1986, he started Krato Producers and began purchasing oil leases in the Wellsville area as well. He operated those leases while continuing to operate the water hauling business and the oilfield supply company. Dean also bought and sold house and raised greyhounds in Krato Producers for a short time. The water hauling business was later sold to Town Oil but he continued to operate the Kramer's Oilfield Service and Supply Company and operated leases for Bradley Oil Company until 2012. In 2010 he sold the supply company to AltaVista Energy, Inc. and after operating Superior Oilfield Supply for a short time and operating 169 Auto Parts in Spring Hill for 3 years, Dean retired in 2019. He loved fishing, hunting, visiting Natches, MS and gambling at various casinos.
