Daniel Alexander Jones, age 20 of Paola, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:30PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School -stjo.org in care of Wilson’s Funeral Home, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.
Daniel Alexander Jones was born February 22, 2006 in Merriam, Kansas, the son of Chad Edward and Lori Lynn (Lowe) Jones. He grew up mainly in the Olathe area and graduated from Gardner Edgerton High School in 2024. After high school, Daniel worked at Amazon as a Warehouse Equipment Operator, which he enjoyed very much.
Daniel loved history. He was a collector of vintage games and consoles. He had a deep appreciation for art, classical music, and collecting antiques. Daniel’s greatest passion was learning world history, specifically, the creation and function of governments, leaders, and their roles in history. He was a fan of the horror genre, the Star Trek franchise, and the classic Twilight Zone. Daniel was selfless, caring, and empathetic. He always put others feelings ahead of his own. He was polite and punctual, with impeccable manners.
Daniel had an old soul who continued to view the world with the wonder and the innocence of a child.He will be dearly missed by his family and all those who knew and loved his gentle, kind heart.
Daniel is survived by his mother and father, Lori and Roger Huggins of Paola; father, Chad Jones of Cape Coral, FL; brother, Jordan Baisden (Erika) of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Jaden Jones of Paola; nieces Elliana and Adrianna Baisden of Albuquerque, NM along with a large extended family including close family friend Bob Holtgraver of Wellsville, KS.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ronald W. and Sharon K. Lowe; paternal grandparents, Charles E. and Sylvia G. Jones; and grandparents, Roger C. Jr. and Judy C. Huggins.
