Dale Robert Miller, 57, of Wellsville, KS was surrounded by loving family when he passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017, in the Olathe Health Hospice House. Per his request, Dale was cremated and a celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, November 4th from 2-4pm at the American Legion-Post 19 in Gardner, Kansas. Dale valiantly fought cancer and so the family politely suggests contributions be made to the Franklin County Cancer Society located in Ottawa, Kansas.
Dale was born December 18th, 1959 in Kansas City, Kansas and moved to Wellsville in 1987 where he devoted himself to providing a home and raising his two sons. Prior to starting his family, Dale served and was honorably discharged from the Kansas National Guard. He was a dedicated material transport driver, most recently working for Five Star Trucking for 12 years until 2016. He was an avid antique motorcycle enthusiast, and was a proud member of the NRA, having achieved Endowment Membership status in 2010.
Dale is survived by his wife and companion Sherri, sons Justin and Brian (Alexandria), grandchildren Haly, Cheyanne and Gunner, his father Robert (Karen), sister Darleen Westhoff (Mark), brother Danny (Angie), and nephews Colton, Caleb, and Toby.
