Notice from niece, Kari.
Today heaven gained the most wonderful angel, my Uncle Bob. He was and always will be the most selfless person God could have created. Starting this posted proved difficult because Bob would have preferred to just pass and everyone go about their day, but he was too much to us and my grandparents to let that happen.
Fittingly, Uncle Bob passed today, on what would have been my grandparents 72nd Anniversary. Bob, as everyone knows, was the most selfless, always present, caregiver to them. I am a firm believer that Uncle Bob held on for this day so he could be reunited in heaven with them to celebrate. AND what a celebration they are having, I am sure!
Bob was diagnosed with terminal cancer 3 short weeks ago and choose to spend his remaining time in the comfort of his/his parents home surrounded by family and loved ones. He passed this morning in a peaceful sleep, just as he wanted. His constant caregivers the past 3 weeks; my mom Judy Owings, my Uncle James Crist (Jim), myself and Crossroads Hospice were blessed to be there as he took his last breath this morning.
Bobs final wishes were that there be no services and this post is in lieu of any obituary. We would ask everyone that knew and loved Bob to remember him as the wonderful person he was and keep those memories close.
Uncle Bob, we Love you forever and always.
