Aaron Lee Patton, age 30 of Wellsville, Kansas passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Wilson's Funeral Home in Wellsville. Visitation will be from 5-8PM, Monday evening, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow services in the Wellsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Aaron Patton Support Fund in care of Wilson's, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092.
Aaron Lee Patton was born April 25, 1990 in Overland Park, Kansas the son of Brian Keith and Debra Ann (Mignot) Patton. He grew up in Wellsville and graduated from WHS in 2009 where he was a State Champion Wrestler. After graduation he entered the work force and was most recently employed by the City of Baldwin City in their electrical department as a groundsman for over 3 years. Aaron met his best friend and soul mate, Jessica Lynn McConnell in July of 2009 and they married July 6, 2013 in Baldwin City, Kansas. They were married 7 years before his passing. She survives at the home with their three children, Collin Lee (4), Carson Bryan (3) and Chloe Lynn (9 mos).
Aaron was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved everything about the outdoors and spent a lot of time there. He loved his family dearly, was a loyal husband, father, brother and son. He was a very dedicated and hard worker. He was also very stubborn, kind and had the most contagious laugh. Aaron was loved by so many and will be forever missed.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Jessica and their 3 children of the home; his mother and step-father, Debra and Vince McCullough of Wellsville; father and step-mother, Brian and Barbara Patton of Ottawa; his mother and father-in-law; Bryan and Sharyl McConnell of Louisburg; maternal grandfather, Robert Mignot of Vassar; paternal grandparents, Rex and Alice Patton of Wellsville; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Michael Blanchard of Hillsdale; brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Natalie Patton of Wellsville; step-brothers, Garett McCullough and his family, Chase McCullough and Hunter McCullough all of Wellsville; step-brother, Ryan Oshel and his family of Paola; step-sister, Chelsie Fisher and her family of Garden Plain; brother-in-law, Derrick McConnell of Olathe; sister-in-law Emily Gerard and her family, of Louisburg; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Bonnie Mignot.
